Sick Sick Sick
Long delays between posts are not the norm for good ol’ PF. However, rocking a 101° fever is not the norm for me either. Illness has gotten the better of me, sadly. While that is unfortunate, we all get sick… I am going to go ahead and let illness be culpable for what is sure to be a post full of random things.
Internet humorists of the world, good news! eBaum’s world is shutting down. The not-so-funny site responsbile for blatantly stealing content from the likes of somethingawful, fark, and the like is finally getting shut down. I’m not sure what the real reason behind the closure is, but I’m very glad they are no longer going to be in the not-so-funny and/or rip-off business anymore. Really, there is a long, long history of intellectual property theft that they have been responsible for. At the end of the day, aside from stolen content, they were the Mad TV/Carlos Mencia/Blue Collar comedy of the web… that is to say, tasteless, obvious, only humorous to eight year olds and ignorant Republicans. Good riddance!

Where Juggalos unite with that dating douche-tard, Mystery. Y'all can hop on some suicide bombers in the Gaza strip, anytime you want... at least than you'd do some service to the world (other than being walking talking reminders of why birth control is a good idea).
I’d never call myself a faithful follower of global fashion, I’m barely fashionable as it is and am only lucky enough that my long-time aesthetics are somewhat in vogue (hooray late aughts Indie trend… now I don’t look quite as out of place). I’ll have new shots up from tonight’s Prototype Trunk show at The Fabric Lab tomorrow, on my flickr and cross posted to xrocksthespot. Thankfully, most local designers are a bit more tasteful than the big boys…
It sounds like this new shop (Pearl Velo, I believe) is going to carry Charge bikes! That means that the freestyle specific Charge Scissor will be available right here, in the Highlands. I’ve never ridden a Charge, but it’s good to see more companies making bikes for FGFS. Of course, we’ve all seen the Milwaukee prototype shots… which is exciting enough in and of itself. Milwaukee craftsmanship is fantastic, I’ve been using a 1/8″ 17t Milwaukee cog and lockring for a while and it is well worth the money. The lockring is very well designed, dished out so you can tighten the lockring, even when a cog and fat chain is still on the bike: very few companies do that.
Well, I’m about out of steam for the night… I should have a new SAG AF1 bag, come next week (shipping is slow), and I’ll probably have some asinine writeup on that. Other than that, who can say what is in store, what madness can be culled from the ether? It will probably involve bikes, and… magic?
(I hope someone gets my Damned joke… haha. Play it loud at your sister!)
